Why You Need A Travel Bucket List
The dictionary defines a bucket list as “a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime.”
It’s totally not shocking that a full 80% of all New Year’s resolutions are abandoned by February. I totally understand! Who really desires to surrender sweets and candy? Who wants to wake up every morning with aches and pains from that gym we go to in hope of getting in shape? Who wants to spend hours every day making decisions about which items or precious memories need throwing out in order to finally become organized?
Instead, I recommend creating a top travel bucket list travel that will continually inspire you! As opposed to a resolution this will actually be fun to execute during and after the actual process of dreaming and working toward your bucket list goals.
After I saw how putting my dream bucket list trips out to the Universe, brought many of them into reality back in 2017, I have decided each year what will be on this year’s bucket list and it thrills me about the year ahead!
When we write down goals and make a bucket list, we have set our intentions. There are few things more satisfying than reaching into our hearts and finding what our true-self longs for and then bringing it into reality, by the simple first step of writing it down. We can only achieve what we can dream.
Travel, therefore, is the perfect place to start for your a bucket list. Science indicates that we receive more joy out of dreaming about and preparing for our adventures than is achieved in experiencing them. Even if we never make it, actually get there, to some dream destination on our bucket list, we still get intense satisfaction out of it.
Last year, I was able to check five things of my lifetime bucket list:
I most certainly do not expect to crash through my whole list right away, but just dreaming about these adventures has already filled me with happiness. Join me on this adventure of our lives and let’s drink in the beauty of our world together!

Last year, I was able to check five things of my lifetime bucket list:
- I saw whales in Hawaii
- I volunteered at a homeless shelter
- I traveled by train across Norway
- I visited the World Heritage site Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site
- I gave my Daughter away in Marriage
I most certainly do not expect to crash through my whole list right away, but just dreaming about these adventures has already filled me with happiness. Join me on this adventure of our lives and let’s drink in the beauty of our world together!
